Julep Maven December 2013

Julep Maven Box - December 2013
Julep maven box is a monthly nail polish and beauty subscription box. It is $20 per month. This is actually my second Maven box, so I am fairly new to this subscirption service. Every month they send you an email describing what the different option for the boxes are (there's five unique boxes), so you can choose which one you want! And there's an option to skip a month if you don't like any of the boxes you see. The first box is free with the code FREEBOX. So why not, try it if you never did?

This month, I choose the Boho Glam box.

How it looked inside once I opened it.

The two nail polish colors were Misti and Joelle. I am excited to try these two colors!

Here's a look at the eyeshadow pallette. I am a big eyeshadow junkie. I just can't get enough of them.
Look how pretty these colors are ! They are very neutral and perfect for everyday makeup. I can't wait to play with these!

Here are the swatches of the eyeshadows. They have a slight shimmer to them. I personally love shimmery eyeshadows. The shimmer was so pretty when it caught light on my arm.

This month's Maven box came with two twistbands as bonus products. I never tried these and not really sure if I will like them.

I am really happy with this month's Maven box! I can't wait to try the nail polish and the eyeshadows. I am also happy with how fast the box came this month. Try the Maven box if you haven't and if you are a subscriber of Maven box already, let me know which box you chose for December in the comment.

Manicure Monday (Tuesday)

I was going to upload this post yesterday, but I was too busy shopping for cyber Monday. So I just decided to upload it today, even though I am a day behind. I know my fingers are very ugly, but please excuse them!

This nail polish is Posh by Zoya and it was one of their matte velvet collection. This was my first time using this nailpolish and I just love it ! It is sooooo pretty! It is burgundy red with some light red shimmer to it.

Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer

I bought this Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer at my local target store couple of weeks ago. My experience with eye primer is very limited. I have always used the E.L.F.'s $1 primer and used one Urban Decay's primer.

My eyelid is not oily but it is very rough. I did not find that E.L.F. or the Urban Decay primer really making my eyelid smooth. This Rimmel primer made my eyelid super smooth and so easy to apply eye shadow. It did have a little shine to it when applied. It is a very think slippery formula, but I like that. I did not notice any creasing and it did help the eye shadow colors pop out a little.

Overall, I love how smooth it made my eyelids. It's only $5, so I don't see any reason why not to get your hands on it!
